Description : Chris’s contribution to the release represents the chunky side of Tripoli – and as the vocal says: “oh my God, that’s some funky shit!” Not a single element of this track is standard – from the superb bassline, to the quirky vocals (a trademark of Chris’s) to the funky stabs and edits that litter the build up. My favourite part of the track is the breakdown though, from the chopped up and FX filled kick and bass section, to the little false drop before a brief gated trance riff leads up to the main riff. And what a riff… No ordinary gritty number is this. In fact it’s hard to describe, it’s just cool as fuck. At the drop the funk is taken out of the bassline in favour of a more direct, energetic off-beat - which really gives the track some bollocks – before returning once more later on for the outro.

Description : The harder track for the release comes in the shape of the Dom Sweeten engineered ‘In Deep’. It’s a perfect marriage of the styles of the two Insekt promoters, with a Nardi element of groove to it while still being hard enough to fit snugly in to Marc’s sets. The booming bassline swings along with an infectious rhythm, underpinning heavily delayed vocal snippets and synth stabs. The main riff is a cheeky little number, quite simple in structure but a flawless match to the bassline and feel of the track; it really drives the track along with real power. And just as you think it should be over, a few tweaks to the riff pattern and on it goes, building energy all the way through... This track really does the damage on the dancefloors as I’ve seen many a time recently!
