FlashPoint Records was born in June 2003 when Marc Johnson and Jupe got together to create a one off EP and release it themselves. The roaring success of 'The Real Deal', backed with one of Marc's own tracks, 'What You Believe', ensured the future of the label and it's growth in to one of the most successful Hard House labels, and arguably the best at what it does.

Over the past 4 years the crème de la crème of the hard house fraternity have featured on the label. Artists such as Paul Glazby, Nick Sentience, Justin Bourne, Dynamic Intervention and the legendary OD404 have graced the 12 inches of plastic, but FlashPoint Records has also given the budding up and coming producers a chance with early tunes from Daley, Frank Farrell, Dave Owens and Riggsy providing a platform to step up into the elite.

3 years down the road and Marc and Jupe branched out into the world of the compilation CD, with their first offering 'Industrial Strength Vol 1' being picked up by Tidy for distribution. The double CD featured the label’s big hits like 'Deformed', 'Release the Freak' and 'Great Responsibility' along with future anthems in the form of 'Sour Cream and Chive', 'Ixus' and 'Step Forward'. The CD was very well received and went a long way in cementing FlashPoint's place amongst the very best Hard House labels in the world.

The CD was followed up with the superb ‘Industrial Strength Vol 2’ in 2007, which was also a massive success. It was voted by many people as their favourite commercial Hard House CD of 2007 and cemented the label’s position in the scene as the foremost provider of the hardest beats around. It featured the anthems ‘Blunt Force’, ‘Loose Chemical’, ‘Fuckmonster’, ‘Something Ugly’, ‘Rapido’, and many others which have been boshed out by DJs from the UK to America to New Zealand.

With the digital boom gathering speed in 2005, FlashPoint also launched FlashPoint Digital as an outlet for up and coming producers and slightly more diverse Hard House tracks. It has since been a great outlet for many now successful producers like Dave Owens, Frank Farrell, Alvez, Steve Gillen, Steve Maynard and more recently Tom Parr. The end of 2007 saw Dave Curtis drafted in to deal with this side of FlashPoint and 2008 will be the best year for the digital label so far, as we open our own mp3 store, and push out more quality releases from great new artists to keep the scene vibrant.

What else is in store for 2008? Well the new website will be the base from which FlashPoint goes for world domination so bookmark it and get involved with the mp3 and vinyl stores, the forum, the photo gallery, and all the other features. Vinyl-wise we are aiming to release more vinyls than before, with more quality material from Marc, Jupe, Dom Sweeten, Dave Owens, Frank Farrell and Ben Stevens, but we will also have a lot of input from new artists like Pierce Rooney, Adam M, and Tom Parr. FlashPoint Digital will be the biggest Hard House digital label of 2008, and there are a couple of other secret projects which will be unveiled on the site in the next month or so hopefully.

We promise you won’t be disappointed!
